I consider this book, along with the gross and fine motor skills books, my primary written resources for working with my 7mth son with Down Syndrome. The information is clearly written, easy to understand and comes with activities that you can do to help with speech skills. I use these books to supplement what we have learned from the early intervention therapists. I highly recommend them for any new parent of a child with Down Syndrome.

I have worked with Early Intervention for 10 years and bought this book to use with a client with Downs Syndrome. The information is great, practical and user friendly. It is a great book for parents and teachers, therapists and everyone. I am only disappointed that I lent the book to someone and forgot who!

Don't put it all on your therapist to teach your child. Take it into your own hands...it is your child. This book is great for your child of any age. It is really good for someone who has a little one because it talks about oral motor issues that could delay the speech and how to work on them. Libby is the Speech guru in the Down syndrome world...but you may have already know that.

This is a great resource for parents and speech pathologists who are working with children who have Down Syndrome - easy to read, lots of information and activity ideas for treatment.

Written with parents in mind so that it is not full of medical-speak, and full of suggestions, this is a good book for anyone working with or parenting a child with low tone or multiple issues that interfere with language development.

My son is 18 months and I hope I would have gotten this sooner. I really liked the book it's a good resource to have although my son has received Speech therapy since 1 month you need to be prepared. I recommend this book because as a parent with a DS kid I must always be a step ahead in order to be a better advocate.

As a nursing student we spend a lot of quality time reading text materials. Typically we find out from our instructor if the books are REALLY necessary. This one was. We found out very late in the game, so the quick delivery was awesome. There are options to buy or RENT this book. Renting is always the best option for someone looking to save money and I feel as though the quality of the product did not suffer from the lower price. They even beat Chegg for lowest price I could find. The rented book arrived in very good condition and was well loved by me as I poured through it. I will definitely be looking on this site and at this company to rent future nursing textbooks.

I did not like how there are not page numbers in the e version. In the class there are references to page numbers that I cant use with the ebook. At the bottom of the page is LOC rather than page and it does not relate to the corresponding page number. Order a sample to see what I mean before you purchase or rent the book. I canceled my ebook and ordered/rented the paper version.

I do not like the formatting of this e-book. My last book for nursing school was formatted really well and moving from one page to another was much better. This book does not have anything like that and is very difficult to look back and forth for definitions.

Book is just as described, and the condition was great. Arrived on time. Content is good and valuable for my class, though not particularly interesting.

Book was difficult to read because the author would go off these tangents. Poorly organized for a research textbook!

Used this book this semester and I think the layout is nice. Everything is well defined and easy to look through. When I took my open book test it was easy to use and I could find what I needed well.

The book I received was tapped together, front cover torn, and pages were torn. I hope it has the information I need to take this class.
