About the Author
Hiren R Doshi, Scrum.org professional Scrum trainer and coach, is a Scrum enthusiast and an agent for organizational change. Hiren received his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Pune and his master’s degree in computer science from the University of Massachusetts. Hiren founded Practice Agile Solutions in 2010. He has served as an Agile transformation leader for many organizations, including Sabre Travels, Bank of America, BookMyShow, Tesco, EMC, Morpho, Oracle, Continuum Managed Solutions, Lulu, Germin8, and Aveksa. This is a good, easy read. There is interesting information. There is value here considering the low price. As a PMI-ACP candidate, I personally did not find much really useful information in it. I have worked on only one large (Fortune 500) scrum project, and just from that experience I think I could have written a similar book that had more substantive and practical advice, e.g lessons learned. I was looking to find specific, real world case studies, and solutions. I am not sure who the best target audience for this book is. All that said, the investment was well worth it for me as it applied toward my PMP PDUs.
A really simple but powerful approach to go deeper into Scrum. Any person looking forward PSM certification must read this book.
This book provides a clear and detailed explanation of Scrum, bringing up some real life examples and answers to common questions regarding the framework.

The Scrum framework is defined and described in the "Scrum Guide" that can be freely downloaded from the web. The definition is only about 15 pages and quite terse. Trying to learn the framework by only using the Scrum Guide has proven hard, or impossible. Without further asistance the reader of the Scrum Guide will get tripped up in interpreting the practices in a traditional mindset instead of in the mindset of Scrum/agile. Thus, failing to get the indended benefits when applying them,In this small book, Hiren Doshi sets out to make the Scrum framework more easy to learn, He calls his book "The Scrum Guide Companion" and that is what it is. For each section of the Scrum Guide you can get clarifications and advice for application from small book.This is a short book, which I appreciate. But is also means that it is mostly not a novel. Except from some examples, a lot of the book is bullets with facts or observations for you to ponder. Its contents is strikingly accurate, bringing together information from many sources such as courses, books, discussions and assessments. I know of no other source that does this.I read the book in just a few hours. If you are studing the Scrum framework, this may be worth a few hours of your time too!
Overall the book was short enough to read through quickly, but also comprehensive enough to provide good insight into scrum practices. Whether you're looking for a refresher on scrum or dipping your toes into the scrum framework for the first time, this book is a worthy read.
This book is really good and awesome.Book contains the topics in a reality and practical perspective.After going through the topic of Myths,Mysteries and Misconceptions i corrected myself in some areas.There are case studies and best practices which sheds some more light on the scrum in an informative way.The topic of Scrum whether it is a methodology or framework is explained in a crystal clear.Thanks Hiren Doshi and looking forward for more books on Scrum from you.In nutshell, the book is really helpful for PSM certifications

Truly, it’s a companion to the Scrum Guide.- It does answer all questions mentioned in the back cover of the book are addressed perfectly, except for the question, "How does Scrum embrace the four values and twelve principles of the Agile Manifesto?†It does address it in parts.- Index pages could have been added at the last- Chapter name could have been the header on every page
